WATERLOO–靠谱买球app推荐 is offering free classes this summer for area high school students focused on advanced manufacturing.
类 will be held June 10–August 9, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. 到11点a.m. 在 自动化与机器人 Center, located at TechWorks Campus, 360 Westfield Ave, 滑铁卢, IA 50701.
The classes are part of 点燃: Mastering 制造业 for 高中生. Using real industrial equipment, 实践工作站, and state-of-the-art technology, students will gain some of the skills needed for next-generation careers in an ever-evolving workplace.
Three 点燃 pathways are offered:
点燃: Introduction to 先进制造
Introduces fundamental concepts in advanced manufacturing, 激发兴趣的设计, 培养基本技能. Technical Highlights: Smart Automation, CNC, Robotics, CAD, Additive 制造业, and 安全.
点燃: Introduction to Systems
Projects applying team concepts and problem-solving to basic systems. Expands on Introduction to 先进制造 technical topics in Smart Automation.
引燃:机电一体化系统
Projects in mechatronic systems combining computer-based controllers with electrical, 机械, 流体技术. Introduces Programmable Controller (PLC) programming and applications.
These classes are free to high school students from 靠谱买球app推荐的服务区. This program is funded through a Iowa Workforce Development work-based learning grant.
